We all know landscaping can get expensive. From irrigation to sod to plants you're looking at a hefty bill. If you're wanting to dive head first into a landscaping project, make sure you weigh all of your options and figure out the most cost effective route. It can be hard to find bargains for landscaping materials and it can take a lot of time too. Here are some tips to help you shop for your house’s landscape – we call it landscaping on a budget!

When working on creating a pleasing and affordable landscape for your home, it is important to remember a few things – especially if you are on a budget. First, plan it out before you make any purchases.

Sketch your yard’s design on paper. Include areas with flowers, hardscaping, shrubs and trees. Consider irrigation and implementing the most cost effective sprinkler system possible. Installing your own sprinkler system with Orbit sprinkler parts could save you from having to pay an expensive contractor to do it for you.

You can avoid wasting money by knowing exactly what you need and where it will all go. Second, decide how much design you want for your yard. A cookie cutter deck or porch may not be what you want. You may want to spend a little extra money for a custom-shaped hardscaped area that is more appealing.
